Pelvic floor conditions

What are pelvic pain syndromes?

A group of conditions where pain persists in the pelvic region without an obvious mechanical cause. The pain is real. The source is often the nervous system itself, the muscle patterns the body has adopted, or both.

In plain language.

Pelvic pain syndromes is an umbrella term for conditions where the pain pattern outlasts whatever started it. The original cause may have resolved, but the body learned to guard the area, and the guarding became the source.

Pelvic floor PT works on the patterns. We do not chase the diagnosis label. We map which drivers are yours, dose the work carefully, and let the body relearn that the area is safe to inhabit.

What makes our treatment different.

We do not chase the diagnosis label. Many of our patients arrive after labels did not get them better. We map which drivers are yours and dose the work to your nervous system, not to a protocol.

Sixty minutes in a private room with the same therapist. Pelvic pain conditions need continuity. Each visit builds on the last, and the body needs the same hands to feel safe enough to release the guarding.

Consent at every visit. Internal exam is the most accurate way to assess certain conditions, and it is also always optional. You can decline at any visit and the rest of the plan still works.
