Acupuncture, in service of your body's plan.
Fine needles, expertly placed, to release stubborn muscle tension, calm an overactive nervous system, and unlock motion that manual therapy alone can't always reach. Used as an adjunct to physical therapy, or on its own, when it's what your body needs.

Questions, asked plainly.
Does it hurt?
Most points produce a brief pressure or a dull ache as the needle reaches the right depth, often described as "a heavy feeling." Many points aren't felt at all. The needles are far finer than the ones used for injections or blood draws.
Do I need physical therapy too?
Not necessarily. Acupuncture works well on its own for many conditions. That said, for musculoskeletal problems, pairing acupuncture with manual therapy and movement retraining tends to produce more durable results than either alone.
How many sessions before I know if it's working?
Most patients who respond feel meaningful change within the first three sessions. We typically plan a course of six to eight, then reassess. If you're not responding, we'll say so plainly and pivot.
Is it safe?
Yes, when performed by a licensed practitioner with sterile, single-use needles. Side effects are rare and typically minor (brief soreness, a small bruise). We screen for the small number of conditions where acupuncture isn't appropriate.
What does it cost?
See the pricing page for current rates and package options.
How will I feel after?
Most patients feel relaxed, sometimes a little sleepy. A small number feel briefly sore the next day, similar to after a deep massage. We recommend going easy on the rest of your day.
When the body is stuck, sometimes the smallest needle moves it.
